Watch advertisements for free game time | Lazygamer .:: Console ...

Square Enix goes free-to-play with classic Hitman and Tomb Raider titles, but at the cost of your sanity.

The publisher launched a new cloud gaming portal, Core Online which will bring things dear to our hearts such as microtransactions and advertisements to Hitman: Blood Money and Tomb Raider: Underworld. What kind of trickery is this?

Every game on the service has been divided into designated chapters where gamers can pay $0.49 (R4.15) to play each chapter or can choose to watch advertisements for free game time. For every minute of advertisement watched, you?ll get 20 minutes of free game time and keep renewing it, if you haven?t lost your mind by then, by watching some more adds.

Gamers can alternatively choose to skip the process of add watching and just buy the games for $4.99 (R42.24). At launch Core Online will only support the Hitman: Blood Money and Mini Ninja?s titles, although Square Enix has said that games like Tomb Raider: Underworld, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Gyromancer will launch on the service in the months to come.
